DESCRIPTION: John Moncas, Liverpool key wind, key set, swing out gilt movement with lever escapement, fusee, three-armed steel balance wheel, finely engraved and floral scrolled balance cock and round turned plate pillars in 1805-06 Chester hallmarked silver open face consular case with Roman numeral white enamel dial and gold poker and spade hands, s#7565 52mm c1805
CONDITION: runs sluggishly and stops (needs cleaning), the movement is in very good condition and bright, with a small X inscribed below maker's name on top plate. The case is very well worn and deeply tarnished. The dial is below average and dirty with a hairline through the second's bit and three pasted figures between the numerals X, XI, XII and I.
